I’ve had the absolute pleasure of training with Ashtain for the past few years. She will probe to understand your goals and level of experience before creating a unique plan to help you achieve those goals. And nothing is cast in stone. Adjustments are made as you go on this journey with her and she will break down every move until you fully understand and execute it. Sometimes I would just give her a list of moves that I’d struggle with (from gladiators to get-ups), and she would break them down until I understood every part of it and felt comfortable doing it. One of her many traits I appreciated the most is her desire to listen. She won’t push you to do something she feels is beyond your capacity or could be dangerous. She genuinely wants to go on this journey right beside you, coaching and cheering you on every step of the way. Don’t be mistaken, she will also push you to go beyond your boundaries and get used to being uncomfortable in order to grow.
I’ve been lucky enough to gain from her expertise in total body strength, barre (boy can she make your thighs shake!) and one of my personal faves, boxing. She’s got the most amazing compound moves you will ever see! Such a great way to sweat and have fun!

I got pregnant and had my first baby during COVID when everything was shut down. Prior to that I was exclusively an in-person fitness class type of person so when the world shut down it ended my pregnancy fitness journey. When my first was around 9 months old, I realized I was starting to have knee pain just from picking her up and playing with her. I wanted to begin working out again but was nervous to get back into it and not sure how to fit it into my life. A friend recommended Ashtain to me and right away she made me feel super comfortable while at the same time getting me outside of my comfort zone. I never thought I would ever be the type of person to lift weights as a workout! She focused on functional exercises to help with day-to-day activities, and my knee pain disappeared pretty quickly. Now I’ve trained with her all the way through another pregnancy and recovery, and I can attest that she will adjust any workout to make sure you’re still being challenged while meeting you where you are. Don’t be fooled though by how nice she is, by the end of every workout with her I always find myself wondering how I was going to make it to the end!
